Dominic J. Maltese, Jr., President of D.J. Maltese Construction Services, has been named President of The Associated General Contractors of America, Greater Detroit Chapter, Inc. (AGCGD). The announcement was made by John D. Maas, Executive Vice President of the AGCGD.
“Mr. Maltese brings a distinctive knowledge of the construction industry with a long history of achievement that makes him an ideal leader for our organization,” said Maas.
“I am very proud of this honor,” said Maltese. “And I hope to contribute to the legacy of excellence that has defined the AGCGD and its work throughout Detroit and the metropolitan community for nearly a century.”
The AGCGD was founded in 1916, under the title of the “General Builders Association of Detroit,” and set forth its seminal principles of “Skill, Integrity, and Responsibility” in all its business and construction operations that it still adheres to today.
Maltese, who represents the sixth generation of builders in his family and whose own Dearborn-based company recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, vowed to continue the AGCGD’s historic mission of excellence.
